Terror Squad was an American hip-hop collective formed in the Bronx, New York in 1998. The group was led by rapper Fat Joe, who gained popularity in the mid-90s. The original members of the group included Big Pun, Armageddon, Prospect, and Cuban Link.
Terror Squad released their debut album, "The Album," in 1999. The album showcased the group's unique sound that combined Latin rhythms with hard-hitting East Coast hip-hop beats. The album featured the hit single "Whatcha Gon' Do," which established the group's commercial success.
In 2000, Big Pun passed away from a heart attack, leaving a void in the group. However, Terror Squad continued to release music and achieved even greater success with their 2004 album, "True Story." The album featured the hit singles "Lean Back" and "Take Me Home," which topped the charts and earned the group a Grammy Award nomination.
Fat Joe has remained the driving force behind Terror Squad and has continued to release successful solo albums as well. The group disbanded in 2006, but its legacy lives on in the contributions that its members have made to hip-hop culture.
